Argim of Stormdown
A 100-year-old-ish dwarven man with tanned skin and auburn hair, Argim's head is balding, but his beard is thick and elaborately braided, growing to the middle of his chest.
A staple of the Nashkel Iron Mine for as long as anyone can remember, Argim of Stormdown rarely talks about his past before coming to Nashkel. Long working as the chief lieutenant to the Greyhost family, his bellowing voice is easily recognized throughout the caverns and noise of the mine. In recent years, Argim’s responsibilities have expanded considerably, from chief foreman of the Steepdelve Shaft to mine overseer, in charge of coordinating everything from ore transport to the village to exploratory expeditions and surveying. Though obviously overworked, Argim takes his duties to heart, bearing the brunt of leadership in a way that reminds of a battlefield general or reluctant, proud king. Though he has nothing but respect for any man or woman that puts in an honest day’s work, whether his subordinate or his superior, Argim has become increasingly dismayed by the decisions of the Greyhosts, and though he tries to keep his criticisms quiet, has been known to voice concerns to anyone that is willing to listen, if nothing else than as a way of venting what he considers an unchangeable situation.
